This was a powerful story that helped me understand a couple tragic historical events: 9/11 and the holocaust. I liked that it was about kids who were in the play Fiddler on the Roof. Choose this book!
I really loved this book. Well, I didn't like the Holocaust stories, but it didn't give me nightmares, unlike some other pj our way books.
Really good book! Learned a little about what happened to the Jews and it made me cry a little imagining all the things her family went through. Also loved the drama and the little romance that happened. I recommend it!! 💯
I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it. It shows that music can be very powerful and have meaning behind it. I like the story part and how the grandpa told his story. I would recommend it if you like music or even just want a good, powerful story about the past.
I really love this book! When you read The book you really feel like your in her shoes. I love the part when her grand father tells the story of him and his family in The Aushwitz concentration camp. I also love the part when Shirli Berman’s grandfather comes up in front of the whole entire cast of the play and tells them his story for the first time he ever spoke about the holocaust in front of so many people except for Shirli. I enjoyed this book very much and recommend this book to everyone!
