When Ruthie moves to New York from Cuba the other kids think she’s not smart because she doesn’t know much English. Just when she starts to fit in, she gets into a bad accident. People say she’s lucky to be alive, but being stuck in a body cast for a year sure doesn’t feel lucky!

A Must Read Book.

Review by Mint

I like how Ruthie over came her problems and how Danielle become her best friend! Though I don't like how some of the parents treated Ruthie. They should of been nicer to her because she was going through so much emotionally and physically.

This book is a must. Lucky Broken Girl by Ruth Behar is so good. Sometimes it was sad, most times it was happy. I never could put the book down. I would stay up until 11 still reading this book. When you are reading it, it feels like you are actually in the story. Read it to find out the book. (actually please read it. you'l love it)

I loved this book sooo much. It was very well written and had lots of details and plot twists. It is certainly not one of my favourite books because I found myself having to stop reading because I was bored. I feel like for the level of reading this book is on the main character should have been more mature and less childish, since she acted a little younger her character didn't relate to me in any way so I found it hard to understand her struggles and decisions.
