Chunky goes to camp

Review by k1234

This book is very nice. I suggest it for people who like comedy drama emotions and a friendship that has some difficulty but stays together .

Cool Graphic Novel!

Review by orcaintheocean

“Chunky Goes To Camp” is a really good book. In the story, Hudi, a Mexican Latino Jew, is having trouble at school. Vice Principal Hyatt, the meanest, most punishing teacher at Hudi’s school, is constantly sending Hudi to detention for being a class clown and other reasons. When Hudi’s parents send him to summer camp, so he doesn’t get in trouble over the summer, Hudi is scared he will miss good movies and get hurt during the outdoor activities. I really like the book because Hudi has an imaginary friend. Hudi’s imaginary friend helps him when he is frustrated, comforts him when he is sad, and motivates him during hard tasks. I think imaginary friends are awesome, and I wish I had one. There is one reason I find the book odd. Chunky is not the main character. Hudi is the main character. So why did the author write Chunky in the title instead of Hudi, because usually when there is a person’s name in a title, it is the main character’s. I would like to know why.
