I really like the way that the author shows how Shai expresses her feelings about wanting to go back to Israel. It is a really interesting story where many different things happen and it has a really good ending!
I think that there should be a lot more details in the story because it was a little plain and should of had a lot more suspense.
Shai is a Israeli girl. Her father has just moved Shai's family to America for a job. Shai HATES America at first. English is too hard, her father's job is basically DESTROYING the planet, and she doesn't understand why the family next door is giving them cookies named after dogs and shoes. And even though she makes some fast friends at school, she still wishes she could go back to Israel and live with her Saba and Safta. Just when Shai starts fitting in, an accident happens in Israel. Will Shai go back to Israel with her grandparents? Will her parents agree to move back? Or will Shai perhaps find that perhaps she really does belong in America? Read Not so Shy, an amazing book by Noa Nimrodi, to find out!
This is such a great book! It feels like you are really with Shai during all the ups and downs in her life. It is so fun and interesting to read! 10/10 definitely recommend!
